Bhubaneswar: Most parts of north interior Odisha will see a sharp fall in night temperature in the next 24 hours, according to the weather bulletin on Thursday morning.
The release said there will be light to moderate rain or thundershowers at a few places in the districts of Mayurbhanj, Bhadrak, Balasore, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur and at one or two places in the other districts of North Odisha on Thursday.
The weather will change thereafter with a sharp fall in night temperature by 3-5 degree Celsius in north interior Odisha for two days on January 31 and February 1.
The bulletin also said that there will be dense fog at one or two places over in Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Angul, Sundergarh, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Bhadrak and Keonjhar districts on February 2.
“The weather condition will again change after February 1 with light to moderate rain or thundershowers at one or two places over the districts of south coastal Odisha and Kandhamal, Rayagada, Kalahandi on February 2 and Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Nawrangpur, Kalahandi, Ganjam, Gajapati on February 3,” it added.
The twin cities of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar witnessed a short spell of heavy showers early Thursday for about half an hour.
