Cold Wave Conditions Continue To Prevail In Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Cold wave conditions continued to prevail across Odisha on the New Year day with the temperature at 19 places remaining below 10 degree Celsius.

According to a release by the Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar, Daringbadi was the coldest place at 4 degree Celsius, while temperature remained below 10 degrees in Balasore (9.9), Cuttack (9.4), Bhubaneswar (9.5), Angul (6.6), Baripada (9.2), Jharsuguda (7.5), Keonjhar (6.4), Sambalpur (7.8), Sundargarh (7), Hirakud (9.1), Talcher (9.4), Bhawanipatna (7), Balangir (8), Koraput (6.6), Phulbani (4.5), Titlagarh (7), Malkangiri (9.4) and Sonepur (7).

The state capital Bhubaneswar, which had recorded the lowest ever temperature at 8.2 degree Celsius on December 30, continued to remain below 10 degrees for the third day on Tuesday.

The release has said that the cold wave condition will continue till January 5.
