Bhubaneswar: The intense cold wave in Odisha has affected life as the night temperature fell below 10°C at three places on Saturday.
While Sonepur recorded the lowest temperature of the season at 8°C, Phulbani and Daringbadi in Kandhamal district recorded 9°C and 9.5°C, respectively.
Besides, the night temperature remained below 15°C at 15 places including Boudh (13.5), Malkangiri (14), Titlagarh (14), Koraput (13.6), Balangir (12.8), Bhawanipatna (10.5), Talcher (11.7), Hirakud (13.6), Sundargarh (12.5), Sambalpur (13.6), Keonjhar (12.6), Jharsuguda (12.2), Baripada (14.2), Angul (10.6) and Cuttack (14.8).
In its morning bulletin, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that as the deep depression over the Gulf of Mannar close to Ramanathapuram district will have no impact on Odisha, there will be no change in the weather condition in the state till the next 10 days up to December 14.
The national weather agency also issued a three-day yellow warning for dense fog in the following interior and coastal districts.
