Cold Wave In Odisha To Recede In Next 24 Hours

Bhubaneswar: The cold wave condition in Odisha will gradually recede in the next 24 hours, said India Meteorological Department (IMD) in a morning bulletin on Wednesday.

Although the winter chill in Odisha will continue till next five days up to February 15, there will be a gradual rise in the night temperature in the next 24 hours, the bulletin stated.

Meanwhile, the night temperature recorded till 8.30 am on Wednesday was lowest in G Udayagiri at 4.6 degrees Celsius followed by Semiliguda (6.7) and Phulbani (7).

Apart from this, the night temperature remained at 15 degrees Celsius and below at 24 places Balasore (14.8), Chandbali (13.7), Cuttack (14), Paradip (15), Angul (12.6), Baripada (13), Jharsuguda (11.2), Keonjhar (14.4), Sambalpur (13.4), Sundargarh (12), Hirakud (13.1), Talcher (14), Bhawanipatna (10.5), Balangir (11), Koraput (10), Titlagarh (13.6), Malkangiri (13), Sonepur (12), Daringbadi (10), Nabarangpur (10.7), Nayagarh (13.5), Boudh (10.5), Bargarh (12.5) and Nuapada (11.5).

Besides, the state capital recorded 15.4 degrees Celsius.

The IMD has also predicted shallow to moderate fog at one or two places in Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Nayagarh, Khurda, Kandhamal, Angul, Boudh, Kandhamal and Ganjam districts for the subsequent three days.
