Puri: The principal of a college at Satapada in the district allegedly committed suicide on Saturday.
According to sources, some people of the campus quarters of Panchayat Junior College of Education and Technology found principal Bhanumati Pradhan hanging from the ceiling of her quarters and informed the police.
The personnel of Satapada police outpost went to the spot, seized the body and sent it to a government hospital for post-mortem.
Police have started investigation into the case but the cause of suicide has not been ascertained.
