Berhampur: The authorities of a government college in Odisha’s Ganjam district have warned the students of strict action after a video of two of them shooting reels on the roof of the college building went viral.
The two girl students pursuing Plus II in Sashi Bhushan Rath Government Women’s College at Berhampur of the district had shot reels atop the four-storey college building. They were found standing precariously close to the edge of the roof against a strong wind, posing great risk to their lives. Later, the released the video in social media.
Earlier, the college authorities had issued a warning to the students who would shoot reels posing threat to their lives in the campus. The authorities’ warning came after they were informed about such activities of some girl students of Plus II.
After the latest video went viral on social media, principal of the college Kanhu Charan Padhi has taken a serious note of the matter. He said stringent action would be taken against the two students.
“We had issued notice warning the students against going to the rooftop of the building. We had locked the doors to the roof also. But it has been found that the students broke the locks and went there for shooting reels. Now we will handle such cases strongly,” he added.
