Jajpur: A college student was found hanging under mysterious circumstances in Odisha’s Jajpur district on Wednesday night.
The incident was reported from Mahabir Colony under Jajpur Road police limits.

According to sources, the deceased was a Plus III first-year student of Vyasanagar Autonomous College and was staying in a rented accommodation in the area. She allegedly used a dupatta to hang herself from the ceiling fan. While police have sent the body fro postmortem and launched a probe to ascertain the circumstances leading to her death, it is being suspected that she was anxious over examinations and could have taken the extreme step due to academic pressure.
