Berhampur: Police on Thursday recovered the decomposed body of a college teacher from inside a house at Maniknagar near Hinjilikatu in Ganjam district.
The deceased, Rajendra Kumar Bhuyan, was a lecturer in physics at Kankarada Plus II Science College. He hailed from Dosi village in Bhadrak district .
According to the house owner, the deceased had been staying on rent in the house for the past 20 days. But he did not open the door of his room for two weeks. A foul smell emanated from the room and the owner informed police on Thursday.
Police have registered a case of unnatural death and begun an investigation.
