Bhubaneswar: The Court of Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate has allowed the Commissionerate Police to take ‘fake doctor’ Ramesh Swain on remand for another five days.
Police are also likely to bring Swain’s manager, Biswaranjan Das, for face to face interrogation into the women conning cases and his role.
The 66-year-old Swain was arrested on February 14 for alleging conning several women in Odisha and outside the state into marriage and then cheating them of huge sums of money. Earlier, this month he was subjected to the lie detector test at the state forensic science laboratory (SFSL) here for about three hours. Reports stated that he was asked at least 70 questions.
