Birmingham: Dutee Chand bowed out of the women’s 100m in the Commonwealth Games 2022 on Tuesday.
The 26-year-old Odisha sprinter finished fourth in the first round heat, thus failing to qualify for the semifinals.
Dutee clocked 11.55 second, well below her personal best of 11.17.
The top three from each heat and the next three fastest qualify for the second round (semifinals).
Dutee, who won a pair of silver medals in the 2018 Jakarta Asian Games, will next line up in the women’s 4x100m relay event along with Hima Das, fellow-Odisha athlete Srabani Nanda and NS Simi.
