Bhubaneswar: Ace woman sprinter Dutee Chand, who qualified for the Tokyo Olympics on Wednesday on the basis of her world rankings, said she is confident of putting up a good show at the mega event.
Talking to the media, Dutee said although she had missed the qualifying norm by a whisker, she was still hopeful for an Olympic berth on the basis of her world ranking in 100 and 200 metres. “The world ranking was announced yesterday wherein I rank 40th in 100 metres and 51st in 200 metres,” she added.
Talking about her preparations, Dutee said she has been practicing hard for the Olympics for the last four months.
“I have been consistently performing for the last two years and I am quite hopeful that my performance in the Olympics will be even better,” she remarked.
