Bhubaneswar: While the Congress has begun the exercise to review its flop show in the recent Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in Odisha, the BJP on Saturday said it will review its poll performance very soon.
Talking to the media after presiding over a meeting of the Fact-Finding Committee at the Congress Bhawan here, chairman of the committee, Narasingha Mishra said the committee has formed six sub-committees with three members each. Members of these sub-committees will visit all the 30 districts and interact with the local leaders and workers and discuss measures to strengthen the party. The sub-committees will submit their report to the Fact Finding Committee. After examining the reports of the sub-committees, the Fact Finding Committee will submit its report to the All India Congress Committee by the end of June.
Earlier in the day, BJP Odisha incharge Arun Singh, said the reasons for which his party fell well short of its expected results in the polls will be reviewed.
Stating that his party will have a meeting on the ensuing bypolls in Patkura and Bijepur Assembly on Sunday, Singh said there is a need for his party to strengthen its base at the grassroots level.
