Bhubaneswar: Leader of the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) Narasingha Mishra on Monday urged the Odisha Assembly to frame a new law for protection of journalists.
Making a statement during the calling attention motion in the House, he said that there have been instances of journalists being assaulted by anti-socials and even by people’s representatives while on duty.
“Since there is a threat to their lives, a new law should be framed for their protection,” he added.
