Bhubaneswar: The process of restructuring of the Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) has begun with the party supremo summoning three senior leaders to New Delhi.
Sources said the three leaders—Chiranjibi Biswal, Naba Das and Pradip Majhi—left for New Delhi on Tuesday afternoon.
The three leaders, before meeting the party high command Rahul Gandhi on Thursday, will meet the newly-appointed Odisha in-charge Jitendra Singh and three AICC secretaries for Odisha— former MLAs Rudra Raju of Andhra Pradesh, former MLA of Delhi Anil Kumar Chaudhary and former MLA Shaikh Mastan Vali—on Wednesday.
On Monday, Jitendra Singh had a meeting with three newly-appointed AICC secretaries and a joint secretary for Odisha in New Delhi.
Sources said OPCC president Prasad Harichandan also met Singh and AICC general secretary Ashok Gehlot and discussed party affairs in the state.
As per the decision taken at the meeting, Jitendra Singh will hold discussions with senior party members from Odisha in next two days in New Delhi, where the names of the district and block presidents would be announced.
