Berhampur: A young constable aspirant died after falling ill while running 1600 metres during the physical test in Odisha’s Ganjam district. It is being suspected that he died of cardiac arrest
The deceased has been identified as Diptiranjan Das of Shyamsundarpur village under Khallikote block.
Ganjam SP Jagmohan Meena said, “He fell unconscious during the running practice yesterday . He was admitted to a hospital at Chhatrapur around 9.14 am and later shifted to MKCG Medical College and Hospital where he died during treatment.”
The SP that it is being suspected that the aspirant might have died due to cardiac arrest. The exact reason can be ascertained only after postmortem, he added,
