Sambalpur: The district administration on Wednesday withdrew its containment order in the Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT) campus at Burla.
The administration issued the order after completion of the COVID-19 testing and survey in the area. The order came a day after the clarification made by Additional Chief Secretary, Health and Family Welfare Pradipta Mohapatra that none of 25 VSSUT students, who had tested positive for COVID-19 earlier, was infected by coronavirus.
Mohapatra said the rapid antigen test kits used in the test of these students were found to be defective after the students tested negative in the RT-PCR test.
However, district collector Shubham Saxena said the active surveillance in the VSSUT campus will continue for a week.
