Cuttack: The Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) on Wednesday lifted containment zone restrictions from Old Rausapatna in the city.
“After three rounds of contact tracing, active surveillance, all contacts tested negative for COVID-19. It is understood that there is no local transmission in the zone,” the CMC release said.
The containment area in the area was reduced on Sunday after 18 rounds of active surveillance.
On Sunday, CMC Commissioner Ananya Das had informed about 109 COVID-19 cases being detected in the area. Another 19 cases have been reported in the last two days.
While containment restrictions have been withdrawn, the regular lockdown curbs will continue in the area, it added.
