Cuttack: The containment zone restrictions were lifted from Behera Sahi, Malgodown, here on Sunday.
The Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) tweeted that the decision was taken after 15 rounds of active surveillance and contact tracing. “All the contacts tested negative, hence it is understood that there is no local transmission in the area,” the official order said.
The area was declared a containment zone on August 7 after some COVID-19 positive cases were reported from Behera Sahi.
On August 9, CMC commissioner Ananya Das had informed that 280 people of the area had tested positive for the virus.
