Kendrapara: Dhruba Charan Sahoo, the BJD MLA from Rajnagar constituency in Kendrapara, is in the eye of a storm after allegedly offering cash to participants in a motorcycle rally recently.

A video clip has surfaced where one of the legislator’s supporters is seen standing in the middle of a road with a bundle of currency notes and handing Rs 100 each to some people. There is no effort to distribute the cash secretly.

Sahoo organized the mega bike rally in the Damarpur, Srirampur and Balabhadrapur panchayats of his constituency, where he laid foundation stone for three projects worth Rs 20 crore.

Sources said cash was being given to ensure a big turnout. Sahoo is yet to respond to the charge.
