Mumbai: Bollywood actor Sonu Sood on Monday (May 11) arranged 10 buses for migrant workers of Karnataka stuck in Mumbai amid the lockdown.
The buses left from Thane, Maharashtra, to Gulbarga in Karnataka.
The actor had taken the permission from the Maharashtra and Karnataka governments to help the stranded migrants.
“I strongly believe that in the current times when we are all facing this global health calamity, every Indian deserves to be with their families and dear ones,” the actor was quoted as saying by India Times.
The actor also visited the bus terminals to bid adieu to the workers.
Earlier, Sood had supported Punjab doctors with 1,500 PPE kits as well as offered his Juhu hotel to accommodate healthcare workers.
