Corona Crisis: Income Tax, GST Dates Extended; Free ATM Withdrawals & More Announced

New Delhi: In the wake of the coronavirus crisis in the country, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Tuesday announced that the last date for filing Income Tax returns will be extended to June 30, 2020.

Similarly, GST returns can now be filed within June 30.

The minister dispelled rumors and clarified that there will be no declaration of financial emergency.

The last date to link Aadhaar and PAN has also been extended to June 30.

Debit card holders will be allowed to draw cash from any bank ATM for free in the next 3 months, Sitharaman said. There will also be no minimum balance requirement fee for account holders, she added.
