Corona Hits Revenues: Ola To Layoff 1400 Employees
Bengaluru: The coronavirus pandemic has severely hit the businesses across the country. Amid the crisis, taxi aggregator Ola has decided to issue pink slips to 1,400 employees due to revenue loss of over 95 per cent in the last two months.
Company’s CEO Bhavish Agarwal informed the team via an internal email on Wednesday.
“The fallout of the virus has been very tough for our industry in particular. Most importantly, this crisis has affected the livelihoods of millions of our drivers and their families across India and our international geographies. The company has decided to downsize and ‘let go’ of 1,400 employees,” Aggarwal’s email was quoted by One India.
