New Delhi: India’s COVID-19 tally touched 1,25,101 cases as 6,654 fresh infections were reported in the last 24 hours, according to data available on the health ministry’s website till 8 am on Saturday.
With 137 people having succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours, corona-linked deaths in the country reached 3,720.
Maharashtra continues to be the worst-affected state with over 44,000 coronavirus cases followed by Tamil Nadu (14,753) and Gujarat (13,268).
In Delhi, 660 new cases were reported on Friday, taking the national capital to fourth spot with 12,319 infections, the ministry said.
On a positive note, India’s recovery rate improved to 40.31 per cent as a total of 51,784 patients have recovered from the deadly virus, it added.
