New Delhi: India reported 1,334 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, taking the total tally to 15,712, the Union Health Ministry said on Sunday.
Meanwhile, the death toll climbed to 507 with 27 new casualties since Saturday, it added.
According to the ministry, there were 12,974 active cases at present and 2,230 people have been sent home after being cured of coronavirus.
So far, Maharashtra has topped the death count with 211 fatalities. It is followed by Madhya Pradesh with 70 deaths and Gujarat with 53 deaths.
