Berhampur: As many as 27 corona warriors were among the 166 fresh COVID-19 positive cases reported in Ganjam district on Monday.
Ganjam Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange informed that the 27 infected corona warriors included 7 each from Aska and Berhampur Municipal Corporation (BeMC) area, 3 each from Dharakote and Ganjam, 2 each from Kabisuryanagar and Patrapur and one each from Purushottampur, Rangeilunda and Sanakhemundi.
Of the other 139 new patients, Sanakhemundi reported the highest of 27 cases followed by BeMC area (23), Aska (14), Beguniapada (15), Kukudakhandi (13), Soroda (10), Patrapur (6), Khallikote (6), Digapahandi (3), Buguda (3), Dharakote (5), Kabisuryanagar (4), Purushottampur (4), Chikiti (2), Polasara (2), Bhanjanagar (1) and Hinjili (1).
Out of the total of 2,348 cases in the district so far, 1008 are active cases and 1318 are recovered cases, while 21 have died of the disease.
