New Delhi: The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has decided to postpone the board exams for Class X (ICSE) and Class XII (ISC) in the view of novel coronavirus threat to the students.
Informing the media, CISCE chief executive Gerry Arathoon on Thursday said that the examinations have been postponed till March 31 in line with the Ministry of Human Resource Development’s Wednesday order.
He said that the Council will notify the revised dates of the examinations after reassessing the situation on March 31.
All schools have been asked to ensure that concerned students, teachers and parents are informed of this decision.
As scheduled earlier, the ISC Class XII examination was to be held from February 3 to March 31 and the ICSE Class X examination from February 27 to March 30.
