New Delhi: President Ram Nath Kovind’s term is getting over. He was elected in 2017, and will remain in office till July 24, 2022.
The Presidential polls will be held on July 18 and the result will be declared on July 21, the Election Commission announced on Thursday. The counting of votes will be held in Delhi.
Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Rajiv Kumar gave a detailed overview of the presidential polls, the procedure, the value of votes and the nomination process.
“A total of 4,809 electors will vote in the elections. No political party can issue a whip to its members,” CEC Rajiv Kumar said.
