Keonjhar: The bodies of a young couple were found hanging from a tree inside a forest near Jogimath village in Odisha’s Keonjhar district.
Preliminary findings indicated that the couple, who left behind a five-month-old baby girl, was suspected to have died by suicide a family feud.
The deceased persons have been identified as Raibu Munda and his wife Gouri Munda of Jogimath Munda Sahi in Padmapur panchayat area under the jurisdiction of Keonjhar Sadar police station.
Sources said the two reportedly hung themselves from a tree using a saree following altercation over family feud on Friday night.
After receiving information about the incident, a police team visited the site and recovered the bodies from the forest on Saturday morning.
The police have launched an investigation into the circumstances that led to the couple’s deaths. They are examining all angles to provide a clear and comprehensive account of the events.
