Nabarangpur: A young couple was found hanging from a cashew tree at Gumidara village under Papadahandi police limits in Nabarangpur district on Thursday.
They allegedly committed suicide on Wednesday night.
The deceased have been identified as Banabasi Dandasenda of Nuaguda village and Swati Paika of Gumidar village.
According to sources, they were in a relationship for the last two years. It is suspected that they took the extreme step as their family members were against of their marriage.
Locals spotted their bodies and informed their family members.
On being informed, Papadahandi police reached the spot and started investigation into the matter.
