COVID-19: 17-Year-Old Bhubaneswar Girl Among 27 Deaths In Odisha
Bhubaneswar: A 17-year-old Bhubaneswar girl was among the 27 COVID-19 deaths recorded in a single day in Odisha on Thursday.
The state’s toll surged to 2430 with these 27 fresh fatalities, the highest since the beginning of the pandemic.
“Regret to inform the demise of twenty seven numbers of COVID positive patients while under treatment in hospitals,” the Health and Family Welfare Department tweeted.
The death cases have been reported from 13 districts: Khurda (4 including 3 from Bhubaneswar), Koraput (4), Nuapada (3), Rayagada (3), Sundargarh (3), Kalahandi (2), Bargarh (1), Balangir (1), Boudh (1), Gajapati (1), Jharsugud (1), Nabarangpur (1), Subarnapur (1) and Puri (1).
The deceased have been identified as below:
- A 70-year-old male from Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Hypertension.
- A 32-year-old male from Bhubaneswar.
- A 17-year-old female from Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.
- A 31-year-old male from Baragarh district.
- A 45-year-old male from Bolangir district.
- A 33-year-old male from Boudh district.
- A 62-year-old male from Gajapati district.
- A 40-year-old male from Jharsuguda district who expired due to Hypertension.
- A 50-year-old male from Kalahandi district.
- A 58-year-old female from Kalahandi district.
- A 45-year-old female from Khurda district who was also suffering from Filariasis.
- A 51-year-old male from Koraput district.
- A 60-year-old male from Koraput district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.
- A 55-year-old female from Koraput district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.
- A 41-year-old male from Koraput district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Hypertension.
- A 62-year-old male from Nuapada district.
- A 75-year-old male from Nuapada district.
- A 28-year-old male from Nuapada district.
- A 30-year-old male from Nabarangapur district.
- A 35-year-old female from Puri district who was also suffering from Chronic Liver Disease.
- A 53-year-old male from Rayagada district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.
- A 39-year-old male from Rayagada district.
- A 61-year-old male from Rayagada district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Chronic Kidney Disease.
- A 62-year-old male from Subarnapur district.
- A 42-year-old male from Sundargarh district.
- A 53-year-old male from Sundargarh district.
- A 25-year-old male from Sundargarh district.
