Bhubaneswar: After reporting a little over 30 COVID-19 infections for two days, the daily caseload in the Odisha capital surged past 40 with 47 more people testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
According to the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), 38 of the new cases are local contacts and 9 from quarantine.
With this, the affected tally in the city touched 30610 on Thursday.
The last 24 hours also saw three COVID-19 deaths and 54 patients getting cured of the infection
With 213 deaths and 29875 recoveries, Bhubaneswar now has 501 active cases.
