Bhubaneswar: As part of its initiatives to promote cycling and encourage those involved in the COVID-19 awareness campaign, Bhubaneswar Smart City Limited (BSCL) on Friday distributed to bicycles to 15 peer leaders, who were associated with BSCL and Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) during the pandemic related activities.
The BSCL organised “Gift-a-Bicycle” event for the occasion. The event was part of the CycleGiri and Cyclothon held in the city to make the use of cycle for a healthy body, mind and immunity boosting activity.
The peer leaders were awarded for their extra-ordinary contribution as “Covid Sachetaks’’ to help create awareness and serve the people in various containment zones across the city.
Among others, general manager (Administration) Kamaljit Das, chief finance officer Manoranjan Samantaray, general manager (Engineering) Aswini Kumar Biswal and company secretary Ajaya Kumar Majhi of the Bhubaneswar Smart City were present.
