COVID-19: Bengaluru Infosys Vacates Office, Asks Employees To Work From Home

Bengaluru: Multinational giant Infosys has vacated one of its offices in Bengaluru after one of its employees reportedly came into contact with a suspected Coronavirus patient.

The company has asked its employees to work from home as a measure to stay safe.

The statement issued by the company read, “Infosys has taken a decision to evacuate one of our satellite buildings (in Bengaluru) as a precautionary measure, as one of our employees had been in contact with an individual with suspected COVID-19.”

According to the statement, the evacuation is temporary and the clients will not suffer because of it.

Till date, Karnataka has reported six Coronavirus cases. In an attempt to contain the disease, the Karnataka government has directed IT and other professionals working in air-conditioned offices to work from home.
