COVID-19: Bhubaneswar Logs 25 Deaths, Odisha Toll Climbs To 5574

Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 toll in Odisha rose to 5,574 on Monday with 62 patients succumbing to the disease.

According to Health and Family Welfare Department, the new cases were confirmed as COVID deaths by an audit process.

Of the new fatalities reported from eight districts, Khurda reported the highest of 42 casualties (including 25 from Bhubaneswar). It was followed by 10 in Sundargarh, 4 in Keonjhar, 2 in Jajpur and one each in Ganjam, Jagatsinghpur, Kandhamal and Puri.

The deceased have been identified as:

1.A 65 years old Male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension, Coronary Artery Disease.
2.A 53 years old Male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Gastrointestinal stromal tumors.
3.A 35 years old Female of Bhubaneswar.
4.A 63 years old Male of Bhubaneswar.
5.A 41 years old Female of Bhubaneswar.
6.A 75 years old Male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Hypertension with Cerebro Vascular Accident with Hemiplegia.
7.A 28 years old Female of Bhubaneswar.
8.A 82 years old Female of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.
9.A 45 years old Female of Bhubaneswar.
10.A 47 years old Male of Bhubaneswar.
11.A 40 years old Male of Bhubaneswar.
12.A 36 years old Male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus. 13.A 32 years old Male of Bhubaneswar.
14.A 42 years old Female of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus. 15.A 71 years old Male of Bhubaneswar.
16.A 73 years old Male of Bhubaneswar.
17.A 38 years old Male of Bhubaneswar.
18.A 62 years old Male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Hypertension.

30.A 72 years old Male of Kandhamal District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension.
31.A 48 years old Male of Keonjhar District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.
32.A 49 years old Female of Keonjhar District.
33.A 45 years old Male of Keonjhar District.
34.A 55 years old Male of Keonjhar District who was also suffering from Chronic Kidney Disease, Hypertension.
35.A 54 years old Male of Khurda District.
36.A 75 years old Female of Khurda District.
37.A 56 years old Female of Khurda District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.
38.A 38 years old Male of Khurda District.
39.A 38 years old Female of Khurda District who was also suffering from Hypertension.
40.A 62 years old Male of Khurda District who was also suffering from Hypertension.

With this, Khurda district has the highest of 1099 deaths followed by Sundargarh (479), Ganjam (428), Puri (334), Cuttack (315), Bargarh (273), Angul (229), Mayurbhanj (202), Kalahandi (194), Balasore (180), Sambalpur (161), Rayagada (159), Nayagarh (141), Jharsuguda (140), Kendrapada (126), Keonjhar (120) and Dhenkanal (108).
