Bhubaneswar: With six more persons testing coronavirus positive in Jajpur on Saturday, the tally of such patients in Odisha reached 100, according to Health Department data.
The I & PR Department in a tweet identified them as men aged 52, 23, 49, 57, 39 and 50. “All of them have travel history to Kolkata. Contact tracing and follow-up action are being done,” it added.
The Jajpur administration had earlier tweeted about five new COVID-19 cases being detected in the district. “While four among them belong to Katikata area, the remaining one is a native Mohanty Patna village under Mallikapur panchayat. All five of them had recently travelled to Kolkata,” it added.
Jajpur now has 18 positive cases and one among them have recovered from the infection.
With one death and 34 having been cured of the disease, the number of active cases in the state now stands at 65.
