Berhampur: The sudden rise in the number of COVID-19 positive cases in Ganjam district will continue for the next 2-3 days, Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange said on Thursday.
Kulange said more persons with flu like symptoms were testing positive for coronavirus due to intensive door-to-door health screening. Taking this into consideration, the number of positive cases in the district will be more in the next 2-3 days after which it will gradually come down, he added.
The collector assured the people not to panic due to the number of positive cases in the district. He also requested them to inform the district administration if they have flu like symptoms.
He also informed that the ongoing plasma therapy in the district has fetched good results.
