Bhubaneswar: Two more lives were lost to COVID-19 as Odisha saw the biggest spike of 1741 cases on Monday.
According to the Health & Family Welfare Department, the fresh fatalities have been reported from Nuapada district.
The COVID patients, who died while undergoing treatment in hospitals, have been identified as:
- A 24-year-old male of Nuapada district.
- A 40-year-old male of Nuapada district who was also suffering from Hypertension.
With this, the COVID-19 toll in Odisha has touched 1,928. The state now has 9,259 active cases.
