COVID-19 Crisis: Centre Puts On Hold Additional DA To Govt Employees
New Delhi: In view of the COVID-19 crisis, the Central government has decided not to pay the additional instalments of dearness allowance (DA) and dearness relief (DR) to its employees and pensioners till June 30, 2021.
However, the DA and DR will continue to be paid at the current rates, the Finance Ministry said in a notification on Thursday.
“In view of the crisis arising out of COVID-19, it has been decided that the additional instalments of Dearness Allowance payable to Central Government employees and Dearness Relief to Central Government pensioners, due from 1 January 2020, shall not be paid,” the notice said.
