Bhubaneswar: The next three months from the ongoing festive season appears to be most crucial for the health of the State.
In view of the ongoing pandemic situation, the next three months beginning October 10 are very crucial for the Odisha districts where the Covid-19 contamination is very high, stated Director of Medical Education and Training (DMET) Directorate, Odisha, Prof. CBK Mohanty on Friday.
“All should take extreme precaution and abide by safety guidelines for the next three months, issued by the State and the Centre for the people,” Mohanty warned.
We need to be extra-careful during festival time when people crowd pandals and shrines across the State. “And if we throw the restrictions to the wind, we will invite trouble for the community as one persons in a crowd has the ability to impact several healthy people,” Prof Mohanty added.
Micro-containment zones have to be set up in case of need at vulnerable areas in the districts of Khurda and Cuttack, Mohanty suggested and called for maintaining a minimum distance of six-ft between individuals in a crowd for the safety of all.
