Keonjhar: The district administration has announced that religious places will remain closed for next two months due to COVID-19 situation.
District collector Asish Thakre said the decision in this regard was taken after a meeting with the members of temple management committees of Ma Tarini and Sri Baldevjew temples.
The temple representatives were of the opinion that since there is a possibility of further spread of the pandemic, the temples should not be opened to the devotees now. The present working style should continue, they added.
Thakre further said the restrictions that were imposed during Durga Puja will remain in force for Kali Puja also. The devotees can offer puja abiding the COVID-19 guidelines, he added.
