India COVID-19 Tally Crosses 3.8 Lakh; Bihar’s Positivity Rate Slows Down

New Delhi: India registered another highest single-day spike of 13,586 coronavirus cases on Friday.

With the day’s new cases, the national tally has gone up to 3,80,532 while total 12,573 patients have succumbed to the COVID-19 with 336 new fatalities over the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.

There are 1,63,248 active cases with 2,04,711 patients having recovered from the infection.

Telangana has tested 45,911 samples for the novel coronavirus till June 17, the lowest in the country.

Haryana has emerged as a concern as it is reporting more cases among India’s 10 most affected states. Bihar, on the other hand, offers a glint of hope as its cases have slowed down. The state’s positivity rate is now below 3 per cent.
