New Delhi: A day after registering below two lakh COVID-19 cases, India once again recorded 2,08,921 new cases along with 4,157 casualties in the last 24 hours on Tuesday, said Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry.
India’s toll due to coronavirus crossed three lakh on Monday and thus became the world’s third country after the US and Brazil to cross three-lakh casualties.
India has recorded more than 60,000 deaths in the last 15 days. The country’s COVID-19 tally now stands at 27,11,57,795 with 24,95,591 active cases and 3,11,388 fatalities so far.
India recorded 1,96,427 cases on Tuesday, the lowest since April 14.
