Bhubaneswar: All Government departments and subordinate offices in twin cities of Bhubaneswar, Cuttack shall function with 75 per cent staff, including Group-A officers in January.
According to a notification by the General Administration & Public Grievance department, the departments and the heads of offices concerned may decide the manner of selection of employees who will attend office, the government order stated.
However, essential offices/services such as SRC and OSDMA offices, police, fire, health and municipal services shall function in full strength.
Apart from this, all officials and staff involved with the smooth functioning of Assembly will attend office on all days of the ongoing session.
All precautionary measures issued by the department to contain the spread of COVID-19 shall be strictly followed by the department and employees.
In case of detection of any coronavirus case among the employees, the office concerned will follow the protocol issued by the government.
The notification further said the officers and staff who have been provided with VPN (virtual private network) shall work from home, when not assigned roster duty. They must be available to attend any office work of urgent nature at short notice and be available on phone call at all times.
Administrative departments will decide the scale of operations in the subordinate and field offices.
The notification further said that all government offices in the state will remain closed on Saturdays in January.
