Bhubaneswar: With the 14-day lockdown across Odisha beginning on Wednesday to break the COVID-19 chain, the Commissionerate Police of twin cities have decided to receive the complaints of the people from their homes.
Talking to the media on Tuesday, Bhubaneswar DCP Umashankar Dash said to refrain the people from coming out of their houses during the lockdown, the Commissionerate Police will receive the complaints of the people regarding theft, dacoity and other problems over phone. To lodge the complaint, he requested the people to dial 100 or the IIC of the police station in their locality.
“After receiving the call, the Commissionerate Police will visit the house of the people to collect the complaint. After registering the case, police will send the FIR copy to the complainant through WhatsApp. There will be no laxity in the investigation,” the DCP added.
