New Delhi: The Ministry of Finance has extended the February deadline for filing returns of goods and services tax (GST) in FORM GSTR-3B till April 7, in view of the coronavirus pandemic and difficulties faced by taxpayers in meeting the compliance norms.
According to a statement issued by the Central Board of Direct Taxes, the due date of filing the annual return in FORM GSTR-9 and reconciliation statement for financial year 2018-19 has been extended from March 31 to June 30, 2020.
The due date for opting for composition scheme has also been extended from March 31 to April 7.
