COVID-19: Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Chouhan To Donate Plasma For Other Patients’ Treatment
Bhopal: Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the chief minister of Madhya Pradesh, said on Sunday that he would donate plasma for the treatment of other COVID-19 patients.
Chouhan had tested COVID-19 positive on July 25 and was hospitalised for 11 days. He was discharged on recovery from the infection on August 5.
“I was tested positive for COVID-19 earlier and I am perfectly healthy now after treatment. Antibodies to fight coronavirus must have been developed in my body and so I will soon donate plasma for therapy,” the chief minister was quoted as saying in an official release. Chouhan reviewed the COVID-19 situation in Madhya Pradesh through video conferencing.
Chouhan has been in home quarantine after his discharge from the Chirayu Medical College and Hospital without a prior testing.
Madhya Pradesh’s coronavirus tally breached the 39,000-mark on Sunday with 868 new cases, as per health officials.
