COVID-19: More Recoveries Than Positive Cases In Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Even as new COVID-19 cases continued to fall, the number of recovered patients remained steady in the state. As many as 3342 patients recovered from the disease on the day against 2546 positive cases overnight.

Of the day’s recovered cases, 511 were reported from Khurda district, 366 from Cuttack, 362 from Mayurbhanj, 288 from Angul, 155 from Jajpur, 131 from Kendrapada, 104 from Bargarh and 103 from Puri, according to Health and Family Welfare department.

Similarly, there were 93 recovered cases in Sambalpur, 89 in Keonjhar, 84 in Bhadrak, 82 in Balangir, 76 in Jagatsinghpur, 72 in Sundargarh, 64 in Boudh, 53 in Sonepur, 52 in Jharsuguda, 48 in Nayagarh, 47 in Kalahandi, 46 in Kandhamal, 42 each in Ganjam and Nuapada, 40 in Dhenkanal, 39 in Koraput, 35 in Malkangiri, 34 in Balasore, 22 in Deogarh, 14 in Rayagada, 13 in Nabarangpur and 10 in Gajapati. There were also 225 recoveries from State Pool.

With the day’s figure, the total recovered cases in Odisha now stand at 2,27,615 against 2,52,239 positive patients.
