Bhubaneswar: The daily case count of COVID-19 in Odisha dropped below the 3,000 mark on Monday with the state recording 2,617 new cases in the last 24 hours. The new cases took the state’s total tally to 2,35,530.
Among the new cases, 2617 are in quarantine centres and 1,521 are local contacts.
Khurda reported the highest number of 506 new cases, following by Bargarh (148), Cuttack (136), Kendrapada (132), Angul (115), Jajpur (112), Balangir (109), Keonjhar (107), Sambalpur (106), Mayurbhanj (101), Sundargarh (91), Balasore (79), Puri (79), Dhenkanal (74), Malkangiri (67), Nabarangpur (59), Nuapada (58), Bhadrak (49), Jharsuguda (46), Jagatsinghpur (45), Kalahandi (44), Koraput (43), Ganjam (43), Nayagarh (38), Kandhamal (32), Rayagada (26), Sonepur (23), Boudh (18), Deogarh (18) and Gajapati (7).
Besides, the state pool has 106 cases.
Out of the 2,35,530 positive cases reported so far in Odisha, 2,02,302 patients have recovered and there 32,051 are active cases.
