New Delhi: The number of COVID-19 cases in India have gone past 9,000, but the Union Health ministry shared an encouraging piece of news on Monday.
That is, no new COVID-19 cases have been detected in 25 districts from 15 states with previous record of coronavirus cases, in the past two weeks.
“Some districts have contained the spread of coronavirus, no new cases have been reported from these areas in 14 days,” the Health Ministry said in a statement, adding that it was clear the huge efforts being put in by frontline workers are yielding results.
The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) had conducted 2,06,212 COVID-19 tests till Sunday.
