Bhubaneswar: Odisha recorded 59 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, the I&PR Department tweeted on Saturday. The state had reported 58 new infections on Friday.
With the new infections reported on Saturday, the number of confirmed cases in Odisha so far has touched 3,36,101.
Of the new cases detected in 15 districts, 34 are from quarantine and 25 are local contacts.
Sundargarh and Bargarh reported the highest of nine cases, followed by seven each in Sambalpur and Angul, Khurda (6), Balasore (4), Puri (3), two each in Cuttack, Deogarh, Jajpur, Kalahandi, Mayurbhanj, and Nuapada, one each in Jharsuguda, and Kendrapada.
At present, Odisha has 787 active cases while 3,33,351 patients have recovered from the infection.
